Yes.Far fewer women have any interest in politics and current affairs than men. It's even virtually a taboo to be interested in it as a man in some circles.
This is why they have to 'positively discriminate' when it comes to selecting female candidates at elections, there are fantastic female candidates out there, it's just that far fewer women give a fuck enough to want to stand, so there's a far greater choice of men.
