This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

I have a particular interest in this subject just now too
as I have a particularly vocal friend on one of my social networking sites, who is constantly finding "the one" and posting pics of some hulking neanderthal and proclaiming how amazing and sexy he is, then days later come the sad faces and tears and proclamations of how all men are the same.

The temptation to write "try not going out with a complete cunt with a fancy haircut for once" is almost overwhelming, and is made even worse by the fact that only last week in the pub she described me as "one of the good ones". Then promptly pissed off home with some other shit.

Tsk.

Hah! Being one of the good ones-
Means you're invariably left as a last ditch resort.
The 'bad boy' image pulls, no question. Equally, we chaps like to look at the attractive type with her boobs out, (The female equivalent of the bad boy). But these do not good wives make. The 'good ones' are cerebral as well as being attractive. But the ogleable ones are better in the sack- probably because they have a better self image. Which will last longer? Which one will look after you in your dotage?

This
is very true :D

Which is why I feel I have won a secret, hollow victory each time I see those sad faces :P

Although, re-reading your post,
I get the idea that this may be a girl you entertain late night thoughts about. She may only be looking for a shallow relationship at the moment. Even though she cries when it goes wrong!
My wife said (at Christmas) she'd found her diary from when we met. In it she'd written, "Cute guy, couldn't spend the rest of my life with him, but the sex is awesome." And it was. Guess what, we're now married. The sex? Hmmm, occasional.
