Is there a paedophilic aspect to it?
I've never seen one, just men finding pleasure in writhing in their own waste (which is the bit that gets me, I think). I could almost deal with the AB thing if it was just dressing up in an oversized bib and babygrow. Hey, that's just messed up cosplay as far as I'm concerned. But the adult-sized nappies? Ick.

Surrending control is one thing.
If it was just 'Whaa Mummy spank me' that wouldn't be that different to 'Ooh Mistress hit me'. Which I have no issue with. It's the watersports/scat aspect I can't handle like I said.

I don't think has any connection to do with pedophilia,due to the fact the adult dresses up as a baby and gives control to the mother figure. now being its such a weird fantasy I wouldn't be surprised that you didn't meet pedo's in the AB world.. but pretending to be a baby, shatting your diaper, dummies, returning to the point of being helpless etc is just too strange and has lots of personal issues and much needed counselling attached to it - what makes a person (in their past) want to return to this state?. I work in mental health and ABs do baffle me slightly. I asked my counselling teacher this question and she is a sex therapist and she responded exactly the same..
However she told me about a theory why people like anal sex - due to the fact that when they were babies they liked the feeling of their rectums being full of poo and seek out that feeling in adult life in sexual activities. When I asked about "does that explain gay people?" she told me to be quiet...
