My excuse...
I don't actually own a dog, but do occasionally walk a friends...
When the dog does its business, it gets put into a bag, that's just courtesy and a desire to ease the job of other walkers who don't want to step in poo. Sometimes though, if the dog does it near the start of the walk, it means we can just leave it by the side of the path, do our loop round the woods and pick it up on the way home - it gets cleaned up completely on our way out and it means I don't have to carry a bag of poo all the way round the woods. Seems to be a pretty decent plan to me.
People who bag it up and then leave it forevermore, that's just odd, you have gone through the process of scooping up some nice warm poo, so what's the worry in carrying it safely bagged up?
