Things you've done when you've had no money.Apart from the usual survival rations of beans, white bread and Doll Noodles™, we've all done things to compensate for having no money. Personally I spent 6 months barefoot to save on the cost of shoes. What pathetic things have you done when the cash ran out?

Not really skint, rather pathological tightwaddedness...Needed (acoustic) guitar saddle, made one out of an antler found in the forest...guitar (electric) body out of a discarded coffee table top (luverly wood, turns out)...no haircut for 9 months now...Everclear is cheap but fergawdsake mix it...burnt fingertips from unsoldering salvageable bits from junked gidgets.
Once when actually broke made dessert of baked mashed carrots sweetened with sugar packets from inconvenience store kaffee kounter. Did not achieve expectations but thought of beta carotene and ate it.
