I ‘pretended’ to be an embarrassingly insecure attention-seeker, and you gave me attention so lolololol I TROLL U YHBT ROFLCOPTER.
Not that I'm trying to define as nebulous a term as trolling, but I'm pretty sure it needs to be recognisable and amusing to at least a subset of your audience, otherwise all layers of irony are removed and you become that which you affect to parody.
