makes me appreciate my lovely stuff like my guitars and surfboard
however it has also led to me not wanting to spend money on holidays because it seems like a waste in comparison...

They are.Why spend what some might consider a small fortune on two weeks of doing nothing useful at all, when you can use that money to buy something that'll last months, if not years?
