You could make it double skinnedwith a water filled section that you can populate with Goldfish. This way it would be both sound proof and relaxing to watch.
There is one down side to your invention though, what if the child sneezes inside? Nothing more revolting than a helmet full of snot, so maybe a reactor light style darkening effect inner visor to hide the snot?
