Well - I've rather strong opinions on such.
For a significant period in my childhood I lived with someone who claimed that listening to Radio 4 was "intellectualist".

Perhaps he meant "prejudiced against intellectuals"?
They still broadcast "thought for the day" which is pretty offensive to anybody with higher brain function.
