This is a question Stupid Colleagues

ah yes
I've worked with one of them. He was quite surprised that I knew what a phlebotomist is even though I have a degree in medical science (it's someone who takes blood - it came up once or twice...). He was trying to show off his new found knowledge and didn't expect anyone to actually be able to answer "Hey, do you know what a phlebotomist is?". He was also continually surprised by my ability to do simple highschool maths, expecting me to be as dumb as him. I think these smug gits just can't actually conceptualise that other people can understand and do things that they don't understand themselves.

But my real win was when I finished my PhD only 6 months after him even though he was "nearly finished" when I started my honours year (5 years earlier). Take that, smug git :)

I have the PhD joy too
mine took 3 years, 3 months, colleagues took 7 years. Apparently that just makes him more experienced than me.
