This is a question Amazing displays of ignorance

Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "My dad's friend told us there's no such thing as gravity - it's just the weight of air holding us down". Tell us of times you've been floored by abject stupidity. "Whenever I read the Daily Express" is not a valid answer.

A Work Experience chap....
...who spent a couple of weeks annoying my boss was listening to a discussion I was having with a colleague about the untimely death of the esteemed Magnús Magnússon. Seeing a look of confusion on the lads face I asked him if he knew who Magnús Magnússon was?

He replied "Isn't he the worlds strongest man?"

That's not all that ignorant, given that Magnus Ver Magnusson was 4 times world's strongest man

Yes, so fair play I guess. The lad did also think that financial inflation meant that small denominations physically evolved magically into larger ones which also isn't too far from the truth.

Confirmed, but I must confess my ignorance. Who's the former Magnus?

Fr_Jerry_McGwier, admit it, you didn't know that Magnús Ver Magnússon was indeed a famous strongman did you? ;)

:D Have to admit that when the chap said it a couple of years ago it definitely took us a few seconds to twig what he was on about
