to be fairthere are a number of tourist traps in the UK willing to take your Euro at inflated exchange rates. If they never went beyond hotels, H A Rods, or a few landmarks, they might never realise it.
Isn't that the point of modern tourism? Observing a culture rather than engaging with it.
