Just flick itThere's a switch on all models of Apple Shuffle that you use to select shuffle mode versus sequential playback mode. I think they even remember where and when it was when you paused the playback from the last time.
And there's a couple of men at work who are a bit like your Mum. We call them "midnight flashers" because we're certain their VCR, microwave, radio alarm, hi-fi, et cetera are all display blinking 12:00.
