My mum panicked when a D-8 reversed towards her
For good reason, too. It was reversing right to where she was, at the wheel of a company truck on a jobsite. She panicked and threw it into "Park" instead of "Reverse, and the D8 drove right over the hood of the truck. The driver barely noticed the crunch or the screaming, but he did notice the job foreman wildly waving at him to stop. Which he did, on the hood of the truck. Her boss never asked her to drive onto the jobsite again.
