Thrown away: The stuff you loved and lost.
Smash Wogan writes, "we all love our Mums, but we all know that Mums can be cunts, throwing out our carefully hoarded crap that we know is going to be worth millions some day."
What priceless junk have you lost because someone just threw it out?
Zero points for "all my porn". Unless it was particularly good porn...

Is this weeks question the Star Wars and 2000AD special???
Who the hell cares about 2000AD for fucks sake?!?
Are they actually worth anything??
Every other person seems to be posting about how they had the first 10 million copies but lost them. Since everyone had them they must be worth, er... FUCK ALL?
Yeah, I had EVERY kunting SW figure and loads of vehicles and everything but, the market must be SO ring-pieceingly flooded there'd be not much point, and I have a thing about not selling things people gave to me as gifts.
*edit*
Just realised that I've written just about the same comment as Powermonkey. Soz.

Value?
Very little.
You'd get less than a couple of hundred quid for a complete set of 2000AD's. I sold about 20 G1 transformers toys, complete (though played with condition) and made the grand total of £110 and Stars Wars figuress' values fluctuate like the stock market - I know someone who sold one of the rarer figures, complete, to a comic shop for around £50, only to see it priced £10 in the same shop 6 months later.

Not so
They are collectible and in some cases rather valuable - what the constant reference to 2000AD and Star Wars figures illustrates is that apparently many B3tards are of a similar-ish age. Shocking and MOST ANNOYING,I'm sure.
If you are a halfwit.
As kids many of us were into Star Wars and 2000AD (web mongs into Sci Fi...surely not???)and these things can be valuable these days - therefore it's hardly a mystery of Poirotesque proportions as to why several of us lament the loss of the collections that were so important to us as children.
Plus I have to say, you blithering simpleton, if everyone's collections of 2000AD have been lost, those still extant are more likely to be, er...VALUABLE?
For Christ's sake you spastic - 2 seconds on Google will tell you that the 1st issue is £80 mint, 2nd is £90.
And we are at a place where cretinous whinging posts now quite probably outnumber the 2000AD/Star Wars merchandise posts...
EDIT apology accepted.

...
get your handbags out ladies, it's time for a rumble it would seem.
P.S.
Why should I have to waste my time googling shitty 2000AD comics when I could be doing something worthwhile, like googling for pictures of clams in drag?

....or
...composing a post almost identical to several others - complaining about how several posts are almost identical to others.
*irony-ometer goes into meltdown*

The problem is...
all these things are only worth £x if you can get someone to buy it. My brother has three 2000AD prog 1's. Two are in really good nick, one isn't. He also has 2 prog 2's. Both in good nick. He tried to sell prog's 1 and 2 (the spares that are in good nick) and couldn't get anyone to buy them. None of the comic shops would offer over about a tenner and he shil bid his eBay auction up to £30 each and ended up not selling them.

oh fuck
you've gone and made me feel all small inside with such a scathing retort. I'm such a cunt, I better get back to the UK and scavenge rubbish tips looking for discarded comics, then give them to my mother to look after, only to have her throw them out so I can then post it on here when this QOTW gets redone.
Thanks for pointing it all out for me, will you be my friend for life?
I actually did find it very ironic that I was posting about similar posts when I was doing the same thing myself, but I'm a bastard so there you go really...
