This is a question Tightwads

There's saving money, and there's being tight: saving money at the expense of other people, or simply for the miserly hell of it.

Tell us about measures that go beyond simple belt tightening into the realms of Mr Scrooge.

My father
takes great pleasure to see his cars average miles per gallon go up by 1. When borrowing said car it is not unusual to be told the current average mpg to discourage any aggressive driving (over 40mph). Go on big fella!!

id get my own back..
next time you borrow it, do something like drive around with low revs, and when you find a big hill, stick it in neutral and freewheel down.. that should cause the mpg to go up.. then give it back to him and tell him your mpg and laugh as he tries as hard as he can to better it!

Good skills
Its quite fun to rally round the countryside and hand the keys back with an excuse like "i though the guy behind me was trying to run me off the road so i had to drive really fast to loose him" Ive never understood why he never really trusted me..?

Thanks for being the first b3tan to reply to me!!! ( Not in a gimpy manner!)
