I know a bit about oil and the like...
as I am currently working for a big (like BIG) petrochemical concern. Tehy are happy if they make 1p per litre profit on maingrade fuel and 3-5p per litre on the "premium" stuff. The rest of the price at the pump is duty - about 70% of the cost at the pump is added by Mr Brown in varying duties, taxes and VAT. Twat

Err yeah...
...because of course Mr Brown spends the money on hookers and crack-parties, rather than spending it on schools, hospitals, roads, etc.
