Our dogWe used to have a maltese poodle who on more than one occasion ate his own shit. I guess as kids we found this highly amusing so would watch the whole spectacle and then run round the house screaming "He ate his shit, he ate his shit!" at the top of our voices much to the chagrin of my mother. Now that I'm older I recognise that perhaps we missed a trick and given some more encouragement and training we could have trained our dog to become a fully self supporting shit eating machine which requires no maintenance. This would be particularly helpful for the hard up elderly who do so crave company.
