Damn Straight
You've got to pay for somewhere to live anyway. I can do what the fuck I like to my house without some poncy landlord making a fuss. It is still worth more than when bought. Lower property values means lower property taxes and should I choose to upgrade, now would be an excellent time.
Course, I bought something I could easily afford and didn't borrow beyond my ability to pay but there you go...
