Did something similar.I did a 3 year diploma course, run by a trade association in my area of work. It was a really good course, learnt a lot. Was split into 6 modules.
As I was getting to the end of the diploma, they also sent out info about an 'advanced' training course, to be run over 3 days. I booked that, paid the £1,000 cost, and when I got there found it was word for word the same thing as the last module of the diploma I was just finishing.
