That reminds meWhen my former employer was making their first lot of redundancies, one newish young lad was in another office on a training course.
He was told he was being made redundant by his office manager ringing up the other office and telling him on the phone while in a room full of others (rather than waiting until the following day when he would be back in the normal office to tell him in person).
