thanks to someone on b3ta coming up with the ideaI can no longer walk past a tramp, without suddenly incredulously saying "Dad???" just for that tiny little glimmer of recognition in the tramps eye that flashes through the alky cateracts.

Did that once. Never again.Walked past a gentleman of the street and pulled the trick. His eyes lit up as he said "Son..?" then they fell sad again. For a moment I felt really bad, having giving this poor guy just a glimmer of hope, only to dash it. But the tramp carried on.
"You've really let yourself go, son."
