This is a question Tramps

Tramps, burn-outs and the homeless insane all go to making life that little bit more interesting.
Gather around the burning oil-drum and tell us your hobo-tales.

He takes requests apparently.
This has probably already been mentioned, but here goes...

There's a tramp who frequents Liverpool City Centre with his guitar.

Not too uncommon that is it?

Well this guys' guitar not only has no strings, it's made of cardboard.

He takes requests and then air (sort of) guitars' his way into your heart with his commitment and enthusiastic energy.

My sister stop giving him money when he wouldn't "play" a Modest Mouse song by the name of All Night Diner.
Apparently he didn't know it and she didn't consider this to be acceptable excuse.

Oh well.

Anyone know if he's still around?

I do remember the tramp/busker in Liverpool back in the early nineties
who wore a old fashioned WWII gasmask (the kind with a big rubber tube feeding into a big tin filter box) tastefully adorned with tinsel while he played.

the playing itself just seemed to consist of tuneless strummings while he blew raspberries through the gasmask, but he was making an effort on the presentation front at least.

sad to say...
he died a few months ago, he was such a city centre icon that even those who didnt give still mised him.

However one cheeky scally, only a day or 2 after he died turned up in the same space with a cardboard guitar. The people of liverpool were not amused.

Im still enjoying the guy near Chinatown with the sign that says; "Need money so that I can put petrol in my Porsche"

I'd
have given him an 'air quid'.

He once hit my friend with a stick
because my friend said his guitar was out of tune.
