If I was losing my homeI went to a conference once with my boss and we were saying that if it was looking like we were going to become homeless, the one thing we'd keep hold of would be a good smart suit. With that, you can always get free food - there's always some conference, wedding, funeral or other event that you can blag your way into. A selection of simple name badges would probably help too.
