My most treasured possession
What's your most treasured possession? What would you rescue from a fire (be it for sentimental or purely financial reasons)?
My Great-Uncle left me his visitors book which along with boring people like the Queen and Harold Wilson has Spike Milligan's signature in it. It's all loopy.
Either that or my Grandfather's swords.

I have many things I would need to rescue
but the main one is my computer. I have a lot of my photos on it, as well as all the stories I've written. The loss of that would be more than devastating.
I would also need to go in and rescue my copy of my great-grandfather's only published book. (I hate to say it, but he was not a very good storyteller- but he got published and I haven't, so I guess I'm told from beyond the grave.) I'd also have to rescue his pocket watch, which is in my dresser.
I have some family jewelry- rings that belonged to my grandfather's brother who died as a teenager and my grandmother's sister's husband, as well as the sister's engagement ring.
Other than that... well, there are the old video tapes of my kids as small children, the hiking staff I used to record their heights as they grew up, and a box of photos that has some of them in it.
And, of course, I would have to go back after my cat.

But not the fisting dog, huh?
Somehow, I think I'd feel the same way though.
Good list :)
