i swear on anything this happened! we were more than a little creeped out.

of course, catherine has gone on to lose keys for every flat she's ever had, and managed to lock herself out of her bedroom when we lived together in a houseshare years later and she was in the shower.

she spent her birthday wrapped in a towel on the sofa...
