Old Bins
Anyone who trained or worked in the old Psychiatric Hospitals ("bins") will probably have heard of this phenomenom. Not really Spooky but...
The Bins were BIG places with all sorts of wards, from short stay acute to long term EMI (Dementia) wards. Every bin had a few Long Term patients; theyd been admitted 50+ years ago and would die in the place. They were part of the furniture, and pretty much had a licence to wander anywhere they wanted too. Quite often they wouuld go to the EMI wards and if someone was "on the way out", would predict with remarkable accuracy when they would die. One old guy I knew would have a sniff of the air around the patient and saY "3 Hours" (or similar) and sure enough, 3 hours later theyd be gone.
Also, anyone read Bill Bryson's book about England (forget title) where he talks about the guy in the Bin who kept asking if it was 1983? Same thing I reckon.
