This has also happened to me....
My beautiful cat Baby was put to sleep 2 years ago because she had cancer. Ever since then sometimes i can sense her jumping on my bed and purring.
There is a Japanese myth that cats turn into super spirits when they die, and they believe that if a cat adopts you, it will stay with you forever, even after death.
