Starting something you couldn't finish
Finnbar says: I used to know a guy who tattooed LOVE across his left knuckles, but didn't tattoo HATE on the other knuckles because he was right-handed and realised he couldn't finish. Ever run out of skills or inspiration halfway through a job?

Effective Time Management
Dithering in a bookstore, I picked up a book entitled something like 'Effective Time Management' and started reading in a random chapter. The author discussed the absolute necessity of ridding your life of all reading materials that were not essential to your mission in life. No more comics; no more thrillers or trashy romances, no more magazines, and absolutely no more Web surfing (no more B3ta!) I took a close look at the book and thought "Well, I don't really need this book," put it back on the shelf, and meandered elsewhere.

Quality
I read a similar time management book years ago - a few good points, but they also came out with the same "de-clutter your life" mantra.
What if I live in a cave? WHAT GOOD WILL BEING PUNCTUAL AND ORGANISED AND BEREFT OF CLUTTER DO ME THEN? EH?

I Like The Idea Of A Punctual, Organized Caveman
Peter the Punctual Caveman lost the Mammoth Kill to a tardy mob of Neanderthals, because he forgot the Sabertooth Cats get first pickings, and had tossed out the catnip he could have used as bait because the "Sell By" date had expired.

just make your "mission in life"
to read lots of comics and trashy thrillers, and to do more internet surfing. Then you don't have to stop.
Let's face it, there are worse goals.....
