This is a question Starting something you couldn't finish

Finnbar says: I used to know a guy who tattooed LOVE across his left knuckles, but didn't tattoo HATE on the other knuckles because he was right-handed and realised he couldn't finish. Ever run out of skills or inspiration halfway through a job?

It's a funny phenomenon.
I started it recently and for the first forty pages or so I was absolutely bewitched by the style - he has a rare talent for evoking a vivid image in very few (paradigmatic) words. I can see why people compare it to 'Ulysses': you can't read it at normal speed like you would most books; you have to digest each sentence and let the full depth of meaning sort of wash over you.

It also contains entire pages of what can only be described as 100% pure, triple-distilled bollocks, tinged with latent racism. The longer I spent on these sections, the more I got the feeling I was disappearing up his arse, so I've put it aside for the time being.

I can only take so much coprophagy
and my tolerance for the removal of testicles with a razorblade is limited.

Sorry if you've not got that far yet. It's not much of a spoiler, though.

It was the six-page (so far) apologia for coprophagy that made me stop.
I'll get back into it though, the next time I have a really long train journey.
