Starting something you couldn't finish
Finnbar says: I used to know a guy who tattooed LOVE across his left knuckles, but didn't tattoo HATE on the other knuckles because he was right-handed and realised he couldn't finish. Ever run out of skills or inspiration halfway through a job?

The spouse loves that book
Anything to do with physics, especially string theory, and he's on it like a cat on a tin of fish. We actually have Physics Wednesdays at the house now, where he excitedly views various shows about physics and related subjects while trying to explain them to me. It isn't my branch of science (you've gone farther than I have with that book!), but he tells me I ask very interesting questions just the same. I worry that 'very interesting' is a nice way of saying 'ridiculously stupid'.
