If you can get through Lord of the Ringstry E R Eddison's The Worm Ouroboros, and if you get through that, attempt his Zimiamvian Trilogy. If you get through those, Ariosto's Orlando Furioso.
I can guarantee that you will fail to finish one, more or more likely all of those.
