A friend and I did put quite a bit of effort*
into a failed attempt to steal a roadsign, but traffic cones are soooooo passe.

*two minutes of drunkenly pawing at it, before giving up and vowing to return with the proper tools

I had a tall motorway-style one for a bit, at uni. It wasn't a drunken acquisition - someone broke my standard lamp, I lacked the funds to easily replace it, and the fittings went rather pleasingly into the hole at the top of the cone.

Chucked it out as soon as I got a new lamp, though.

Friend of mine stole a flashing beacon from some roadworks.
Took him a couple of days to work out how to stop it flashing. A disappointing haul, all things considered.

We stole the bus stop
It was buried about two feet below the ground but once one of the rugby lads had dropped his shoulder into it we were quite able to pull it out and take it back as a trophy.

At the end of the academic year there was tons of stuff we had to "lose" in the surrounding undergrowth :(

Friend of mine levered up a paving slab, carried it home, tripped and flung it through the glass in the door to our halls. Smart.
