This is a question The B3TA Detective Agency

Universalpsykopath tugs our coat and says: Tell us about your feats of deduction and the little mysteries you've solved. Alternatively, tell us about the simple, everyday things that mystified you for far too long.

Does anyone else make up stories about their neighbours?
For instance: two doors down from me there is a woman with the cleanest house I've ever snooped through a window at. The floor is always spotless, the furniture looks unused, and she is always, ALWAYS sitting watching TV, with her husband reading a newspaper. I've never seen the husband move, even to change page.

I've come to the conclusion that her husband was quite messy, and alongside her clean streak she must have some kind of taxidermy lair in her attic.

That sounds perfectly reasonable.
We don't do that, but we do name the neighbourhood cats.

Currently there's Henry (the daddy), Wormwood, Scrubs, Ginger, Twinkle fucking toes (named after the B3tan's username, and the fact that the cat is mincier than a pie), and Fat Lazy Bastard.

All of them are quite friendly, to the point that we don't really want to know their real names now, and I have instructed our neighbours not to tell us what Scrubs' is, despite the fact he lives next door.

Two doors up from me..
We have a really nosy neighbour, who we've seen trying to spy through our window. The wife noticed it a while back when she was cleaning the house (she's quite neurotic about cleanliness, but it keeps her occupied..)

Anyway, what we do, is when she's watching telly, she'll keep an eye out, and when our neighbour starts peering through the window, I'll sit there with the paper as still as possible, in a futile attempt to fool our 'spy' into thinking we're all waxwork dummies..

Wow, I must have a predecessor
since I moved to my current house about a week ago.
