If, some time in the future, any child of mine hosts a party when I'm awayI won't give a shit as long as the house is clean, but every time I come back, I'll spend a few days walking around and occasionally sniffing suspiciously or examining the contents of the bins. The more paranoid they are that I'm going to find out, the cleaner they'll keep my house next time. If I try hard enough (and visit friends regularly), I'll never even need to do the vacuuming.
