Universalpsykopath tugs our coat and says: Tell us about your feats of deduction and the little mysteries you've solved. Alternatively, tell us about the simple, everyday things that mystified you for far too long.

I beg to differ.
In fact, you are displaying exactly the attitude I'm talking about.
Assuming that the guy in question is otherwise decent, what difference does one silly little slip-up make, especially when women know that's why men are talking to them? If you're looking for "Mr Right" why overlook a guy because he comes out with a Freudian slip, or is a bit tipsy and says something rash? On the other hand if you're just looking for a shag then what does it matter that he puts it to you in such a silly way? Perhaps he's great in bed?
What you're saying is that men should treat women like a different species who need to be wooed using tactics and approaches and men should never let their guard down and be themselves.
