We've had them since the dawn of time and managed quite adequately. Granted washing your hands when you've had a poo is advisable but we've been made to think that we'll drop down dead if we don't have bodies or kitchens akin to a highly sterile dangerous infections medical laboratory.

I'm not talking aids, or the rubber wristband manufacturers wet dream Cancer or anything, but a totally sterile environment would probably be more detrimental to your health, surely?
