Weird TraditionsTalking with a friend yesterday about school dinners, she suddenly said, "We had to march into the dining room behind the School Band... except on Thursdays." Since all of us were now staring, she qualified this with, "...on Thursdays there was no wind section. It was a tradition."
What weird stuff have you been made to do "because it's a tradition."

Not very good, but......when my mate Pob used to live with me, whenever we went anywhere in the car we had to either make a word or acronym out of the letters of car number plates as we saw them. For instance, JBW 654A would become something like "John Benson's White Arse".
I still do it now, occasionally.
And enjoy it.
