I once won a gas boiler from The Guardian. Tell us about times you've won, and the excellent and/or crappy prizes you've lifted.

As a matter of fact. . .
. . .when he operates out of Colorado Springs, the bail bond office he frequents is a mere 5 blocks north of me. From what I see of his featured video clips, I'm guessing it's a good thing he's not found me.

A quick cover for the various islands from a tourism perspective:

O'ahu: bargain hunter's paradise. Prepackaged convenience. Enjoy the crowds.
Maui: pricier, more exclusive, hike and camp in a dormant volcano. My former home island.
Kauai: welcome to the jungle. Lush, primeval, still very rural.
Hawai'i/Big Island: great bicycle touring, charter fishing, triathlete's Mecca.
Moloka'i: uuhh... easy to do a lot of nothing. Bring a rifle along and take some axis deer back with you - please!
Lanai: makes Moloka'i look positively hopping.

The other 2 (Kahoolawe, Niihau) are verboten to visitors for their own reasons. If you sneak onto Kahoolawe, you could practice your UXB defusing skills as it was a naval target site for many decades.
