I want to horrify my relativesMy great grandad was a man of few words (mainly yes, no and cup of tea please?) but in the last few months of his life he became more sociable than ever before. Shortly before he died he had some fantastic ramblings.
My personal favourites involved the look of absolute horror on my nans face when he started to describe in detail how she was conceived and when he told us all about Betty . Betty who had a set of pins that ran for miles and who had a pair that "made me feel like I 'ad three legs, they did". Betty who, apparently despite the phone not even ringing, had phoned earlier to invite him for a drink. Betty who it was later discovered didn't actually exist.
I look forward to having a similar effect on my nearest and dearest should I die of old age.
