I think I might have spotted a tiny flaw in your plan...Actually, bungee jumping would work; you'd have to jump away (rather than stepping off) and you'd end up returning to the platform at the same speed you'd jumped. So you could keep going, like a giant human yoyo.
Parachuting, not so much.
