I think you kind of ruined it a bit towards the end therePerhaps it may help if you can explain what it is about this that makes you feel like you've 'won' at life?
It sounds awfull to me to be as trapped as that seems, but perhaps things will change with age and that will be how I eventually get my 'win' in life.
I'm going to carry on enjoying my life how I want it to be for the time being, however selfish that probably is.
