This is a question I witnessed a crime

Freddy Woo writes, "A group of us once staggered home so insensible with drink that we failed to notice someone being killed and buried in a shallow grave not more than 50 yards away. A crime unsolved to this day."

Have you witnessed a crime and done bugger all about it? Or are you a have-a-go hero?
Whatever. Tell us about it...

I live in Coventry….
witnessing crime is a daily occurance

I witnessed another one this time last week when the mixtape QOTW was released...but let's put that behind us now...

Even though it seems the B3ta overlords are insistant on releasing questions that are more likely to provoke negative and unhappy responses, I’ll give it a bash.

*starts thinking*

WTF
does this mean "Even though it seems the B3ta overlords are insistant on releasing questions that are more likely to provoke negative and unhappy responses"?

You don't want people to whine? You don't like reading lots of whining? Or what?

I'm confused

Well, call me a bluff old traditionalist...

But I haven't exactly needed my sides sewing back up after reading the pages thus far.

there have been a few already stating 'sorry for not being funny'

"You don't want people to whine? You don't like reading lots of whining?" - no, not really...particularly when it's me that's doing the whining.

Look, I don't want to become any 'anti-QOTW choice champion'; I hope something good does come out of this one...and I think life is too short for making enemies.

I just want to entertain...and be entertained.

Now i'm confused.

Ah
OK - well lets put it this way, it was never the intention that QOTW should be a repository of *funny* stories.

Crikey, we did Funerals a while back.

But, point taken. Some subjects seem to encourage people to be boring rather than entertaining.

ooh, I lived in Coventry for 2 years.
Oddly, I think I managed to not witness a crime... must be because I walked around making a concerted effort to not witness anything, lest I be murdered.

I really really don't miss living there. (esp as I hear the dog and trumpet has gone rubbish)

Hang on a mo!!!!
"well lets put it this way, it was never the intention that QOTW should be a repository of *funny* stories."

I just went in to put a suggestion for the QOTW...and guess what I saw for the 'rules':

Each week we ask a question. The idea is to generate material that's:

* interesting to read, i.e. we won't get bored of reading the answers after about 10 of them
* not been asked on this site before
* FUN TO ANSWER

hmmmmmmmm

*realises that this means the chances of his suggestion actually being used are now less than zero*

*Quietly whispers 'fucksocks' to self*
