This is a question Worst Person for the Job

In a week where it emerges that the new Health Secretary is a fan of the hocus-pocus that is homeopathy, tell us about people who are spectacularly out of their depth in a job. Have you ever found yourself wallowing in your own incompetence? Tell us. (Note: "Name of football manager/politician - nuff said" does not constitute an answer)

So, your friend worked with a paedophile and did nothing about it?

You're assuming
(a) that the school had cheerleaders, (b) that they were underage, and (c) that the coach was actually thinking of the real cheerleaders.

Any or all of these may be true; but we don't know that. If (b) is false, then it's not necessarily paedophilia. What it is, is deeply creepy. But there's something a bit creepy - not to mention sexist - about having school cheerleaders to begin with...

What if one of them was his sister?

I believe that the age of consent is 18 in the US (21 in some parts?) - so high school girls are underage.
Also, many schools do have male cheerleaders too. George W Bush was one - probably his most impressive achievement, in fact.

Actually I was more taken by the monumental stupidity shown by getting seen renting the tapes, given his position.
