I once had to explainto two little old ladies on a plane from Singapore to Heathrow, why the flight took 13 hours, but local time was only about 5 hours later when they got home.
I think they got it. They'd been puzzling about it for ages, and I politely interrupted their conversation as it was doing my head in!
