I used to read Moorcock's books as a youngster and did get that anagrambut was taken in by the foreword in Breakfast In The Ruins, which stated that Moorcock died of lung cancer aged 31.
Believed it for years and would contradict anyone who talked about him as if he were alive. Bit of a shock when I saw him on TV.
