I'm not sure I see what's wrong with going straight edge
Not drinking, not smoking, ah. Yes. Saves a lot of money mind you.

Nothing wrong
But since I was about 16 she's seen me stagger in from clubs mortal, endure week long comedowns and go on 2 day bingers to celebrate little things like passing college.

Now I'll be walking home, very happy, remember the night before and feel nothing but tired :)

Oh right ... so when you say 'straight edge' you could actually have used a real meaningful term
like 'temperance' or 'puritan' or 'methodist'?

Puritanism
The irrational fear, that someone, somewhere, is having a good time.

Yes.
*cough* speaking of which ... is our favourite fat tory not around today? *coughity cough*

Or boring.
She could have used the term boring.

Wicca'd Witch would like to point out that she is in no way condeming those who have an alcohol and/or drug addiction, they are to be congratulated...but people who make the decision, purely to smug it up to others about how much better than you they are, deserve an eternity of BEIGE.

In other words, living like a typical teenager
Still, in terms of healthy living, a good choice. I used to be straight edge for a while, and then I discovered real ale. And started smoking. Which I have stopped doing, owing to Mum's health.
