the basic Nero pack which you can get free with a DvD writer
is very good for anything basic-to-medium. To be honest your phrases such as "Does anyone know a DVD making program that isn't the kind of thing that comes free with your computer when you buy it from Comet?" aren't terribly helpful as you're not telling people what features you required that the basic ones don't have.

What exactly do you need to be able to do with this thing?
