NZ wine is nicer than Aussie,
and I'm really getting into Italian at the moment :)

Well, I didn't ask YOU, did I?
Hello Moosey Woosey Woo. How are you?

I'm good thank you - muddling along nicely.
Need to find myself a hobby though!

It depends what you drink
NZ sauvignon is excellent, as is south Aus stuff. But NZ makes poor chardonnay, and their reds are weak bar pinotage.

Aus for big reds and chardonnay. check out south Aus sauvignon too, it's less overpriced than the Cloudy Bays of this world. My current fav NZ wine is Dog Point sauvignon. Half the price of cloudy bay* and just as good.

*addmitedly that's still 15 shitters a bottle, but you get what you pay for.

I'm not a white-wine drinker particularly
and some of the reds that we had over there were much nicer than alot of the stuff that we get here. Admittedly the pick of the bunch was the Pinot Noir.

don't buy from anywhere but good independent wine merchants
Supermarkets just get the mainstream dross

good places will always let you taste, and then buy by the case.

But yeah, you'll always get better wine in the actual country.
