There's dosh to be made in translation, mainly in Strasbourg or Maastricht but such dull countries to live in. Depends if you want to spend your day with your mind on fire from comparing symbolic comparatives

Fat chance of a translation job w/o postgrad.

my old man is an engineer and deals with people on the continent
my mum is somewhat of a languages polymath. But even she has trouble when the translation requires technical data and terms to be translated. Specialise in SI units and you could be onto a winner :-)
